||Mr. Craig Kanaday
Mortimer Jordan High School
I am beginning my 19th year in education and I have enjoyed every minute of it! I have a loving and supportive wife, Kaci, and three amazing children, Codi, Sarah, & Zane.
I graduated from Mortimer Jordan High School in 1993. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Alabama @ Birmingham and began teaching at my alma mater in the fall of 1998. I taught and coached at Mortimer Jordan High School until 2004. In the fall of 2004, North Jefferson Middle School opened its doors and I moved there to accept a teaching job and assume the duties of Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. I went on to obtain my Master's Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Alabama in 2006. In fall of 2006, I became the assistant principal at North Jefferson and served in that capacity until 2011, when I was named principal of North Jefferson. Fall of 2016 will be my third year as Principal of Mortimer Jordan High School and I am blessed to have been given this opportunity. It's my honor to serve students, parents, and faculty members in the community that I call home.
