The Safe Sports School Award recognizes secondary schools around the country that take the crucial steps to keep their athletes free from injuries. It is overseen by the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
MJHS first qualified for this award in 2013 and has received Safe Sports status through 2019. At the time we first received the award, only 36 schools in the country had reached the criteria.
The picture below includes the student athletic trainers but there are over 100 students in our Health Science Program. The program has increased by over 85 students since last year.
